Here's a few more

Here are a few more cards I did yesterday.

For this card I used the SU Booglie Eyes dracula. The dp is from the Angel Comp and the sentiment if from ACMoore. For the little bat on the moon, I just cut one out from a scrap of the dp.

I just love this next card because that little costume bear is just the cutest! The sentiment was done using a font cd that I purchased from Stephanie
over at Homegrown Hospitality. Cute huh? The card itself is chocolate chip cs from SU, and the rust color cs is from JoAnnes as is the polka dot paper. I used my spellbinders dies to cut out and emboss the oval, and the cs was cut using a fiskars border punch.

The next two cards are similar to cards I made last week, but I am trying to stock up on the fall cards, so here goes:

and

ok, I think that is going to be it for today. I have to take my teenage daughter and her friend to the mall today for school shopping...pray for me! ;)

The Cats Pajama's Challenge

While I was visiting Laura's
blog, I found out that the Cat's Pajama's stamp company has a weekly challenge called TCPTuesdays
. I only have a couple of their stamps so far, but I was happy to see that I did have the stamp needed for this weeks challenge. I am hoping my card will be acceptable though, as I have altered the image a bit. The image is a cute little animal train which you can see by checking out Laura's
card, but I made mine into a baby mobile instead by cutting the animals out.
Here is my submission:

The cardstock is certainly celery from SU. The striped dp is from The Angel Company and is cut with a fiskars border punch. The polka dotted paper is from K&Co. I used my spellbinder dies to cut out the little oval for the mobile. Then I colored the animals in with my wc pencils and also covered them with a glitter pen. The sentiment is a rub on from the dollar store!

Hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

It's so nice to be loved!

Hello! Just wanted to post that I was nominated twice for this award:

I was nominated by Carolyn
and also by Diane
. I feel so blessed that out of all of the blogs to choose from, that I would be one of the seven chosen! How fun! Can I just say that it is the little things like this that make me happy to do what I do. I am not on any design teams, I have never been published, have never posted a tutorial, but I still have faithful visitors! How awesome!

So, here is my list of 7 blogs for you to visit:
Laura
- this woman is so talented...you have to go and take a look at her cards. She has been published, and is on a couple of design teams and you will see why when you see her work. Just gorgeous.

Stephanie
- this is a very funny, light-hearted blog. Stephanie's blog is full of inspiration in more ways than one.

Jill
- this blog is for those of you who love fabric and are looking for some really cute ideas...let me tell you, she's got em! I used her pattern to make some baby burp cloths and the new mom just loved them!

Regina
- Own a Cuttlebug? - then you have to visit this blog! Regina posts all kinds of projects for you...so trust me, one visit and you will be Bitten By The Bug just as I was!

Susanna
- Every week, Susanna lists favorites broken down into categories including tutorials, cards, projects, mini books, etc. I cannot imagine the amount of time it takes her to do this, and all for our benefit as it is so nice to be able to see so many wonderful things in one place!

Stacey
- I just simply love the work this woman does. Her ideas blow me away. And, you have to go and read the "Cody" comments, too funny!

Debbie
- this woman's designs are truly amazing. And her cards are always so perfect looking! No matter how hard I try, I just cannot get mine to look that way! lol!

Here are the rules for the award:

1. The winners of the "I Love your blog" award can put the logo on their blog
2. Link the person you from whom you received the award
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you’ve nominated.

Really, I could go on and on with my list of nominees, but I must stick to the rules of only 7.
Just know that I have my list of favorites, and you know who you are as I always leave comments! I love you all!

Thanks, and have a great day....
Oh, I almost forgot, I actually participated in today's challenge on Splitcoast.

It was a really simple sketch, and that is exactly the same way I wanted to keep the card, simple:

Have a great day!

Stamp Scrap Art Tour

This past weekend there was a Stamp Scrap Art Tour show that came to Buffalo, and of course I had to purchase at least one stamp. I would have liked to have purchased so many of them, but I am saving my pennies for an order I want to place with Papertrey.
Anyway, the stamp I did purchase is from Art Gone Wild and it is this really cool Halloween display. This card was made using the new stamp and I think it is so cool how all I had to do was color the image once it was stamped and it is already laid out to put on a card. I did cut out some of the images and pop them up and I also colored some parts using a glitter pen.

Hope you like it!

Just a note

Hello! Just a quick update as to what I have been busy doing this week. Our church is having a community fun day today so we have been delivering flyers all week to 5,000 homes! Let me tell you, that is alot of walking! And yesterday I spent the morning driving my son back to school. This is his 3rd year of college and even though I just dropped him off yesterday, I already miss him!
Well, lots to do today at church, so I have to go get ready!

Have a great day!

Finished a couple Tilda cards

Remember those cute little goodies I received in the mail last week? Well, here are a couple of the cards I have made from the stamped images.
They were so much fun to color!

I made this Tilda for Thanksgiving, and I have not added the sentiment yet as I am not sure what I want it to say:

And this little Tilda is all dressed up for Christmas:

I have a couple more of the images colored, but have not put them onto cards yet.
Thank you again Monica for the nice gift!
And thanks to everyone for stopping by...hope you are having a great week.

Each day brings a new surprise

Well, it all started on Saturday when I received the email about being featured on cardoftheweek.com, and then on Sunday, I received this nice little gift from my dear sweet friend Martha who likes to play digitally. Isn't this adorable? And she thinks she has no talent! Thank you Martha...I really do love it!

Then today I received not one but two surprises in the mail! This first one was a sheet of stamps that I had ordered from Stephanie
over at Homegrown Hospitality. So that was not the surprise. This sweet cute little lady added this to the envelope:

And then there was another envelope that was a total surprise from my friend Monica

How fun is that??!!! I have admired her cards made with these cute Magnolia stamps and now I get to make some of my own!!!

Thank you ladies for making my day! I love the gifts!!!

I really do not think this week can get any better!

Thanks for stopping by!

wish me luck!

ok, I have been working on this little Halloween house scrapbook, and have just listed it on ebay. Could not decide between taking it to the boutique where I sell my stuff, or trying the whole auction thing, so I will just have to see how this works out. This is the cover of the book:

It has 14 pages from front to back so I did not want to post all of the pictures. But I will post one more because this is a stamp I just received in the mail from Lost Coast designs. I stamped it with versa mark and then embossed with white embossing powder:

Now, here are a couple more cards that I have done.
The Halloween house on this first one is an image I printed from the computer onto fabric.

The image on this card is stamped a couple times on different papers and paper pieced. The image is from ACMoore's dollar stamps:

Well, thanks for stopping by.

Embossed Leaf

Good morning. Just a quick post for one more of the cards I made.
I stamped the leaf on the tag with SU's Ruby Red and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

More Fall Cards

I have made another stack of cards but I am only going to post 3 for today.
Hope you like them! This first one is my favorite. I stamped the sunflower twice so that I could cut it out and bend the petals up a little bit. Looks so pretty IRL.

Thanks for stopping by! More to come!

Changing Seasons

As much as I love Fall, I really do not like rushing the seasons, especially around here where our summer's are so short. As I am sure you have noticed though, every store you go into has the fall items on display already. And since I do sell my cards in a boutique, I figured I better get busy on some fall cards. Luckily for me, it was the perfect day to do it yesterday as it rained on and off all day.
On this first card, the last thing I did was to stamp the sentiment and I am not pleased with how it came out, but since I really liked the rest of the card, I am just going to leave it that way:

This next card is the same image (from SU), different sentiment, but it's funny how just using different paper changes the look so much:

Well, hope you like them, and thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
