Today's Limited Supply Challenge

Today's challenge was actually easy for me because it seems I never add much to my cards anyway. So here is my submission for the limited supply challenge:

The dp and the ribbon are both from Target's dollar spot. The stamp set used is SU's double lined doodles.

Hope you like it!

Today's Challenge

This is my card for today's challenge. I have never made a monochromatic card before and had a very difficult time choosing a stamp to use that I thought would look good. I guess that is why it is called a challenge!

Is all your Christmas shopping done? If you are like me, you have not finished yet....so what are we doing on the computer?? ;)

Have a great day!

Copper Picture Frames

Here is a couple pictures of the copper picture frames I purchased from Target. They were on sale for $4.00 each, and I sold a set of 3 for $30.00.
The only thing I added to the frame was a piece of cardstock stamped with the Illuminations set from SU. I used copper embossing powder to match the frames. The 3 stamps I used were "Hope", "Joy", and "Cherish".
Sorry for the poor photos, ...hard to get a good picture with the reflection coming off the frame.

Embossed Journal

More items to sell at the craft show...
These books are soft suede journal's that I picked up at Joann's craft store over a year ago. They had a really great sale on them so I grabbed them! I never really knew what to do with them until the other night, I had the idea to try and emboss on them. And it worked out really well. I just stamped with versa mark right onto the suede and then used clear power. With the exception of the black journal, for which I used white powder. There is a little framed area on the front of the journal that can hold a picture, but I have stamped an image for that area as well. You can see it in one or two of the pictures, but the other pictures show too much glare to see that part.
Do you like them?

Hope you are having a great week!

More to come...

Sharing one at a time

Thanks for hanging in there with me! I have so much to share, but not enough time to do it, so I am going to post one project at a time. I have a big craft sale scheduled for Sunday so I have been trying to prepare for that. Wish me well as far as sales go, because we really need a blessing!
The first project I am sharing is a ceramic candle holder.
This snowman is stamped using black stazon and the snowflakes are embossed with silver embossing powder.

This next candle was stamped with versa mark and embossed in red:

Next, I have stamped this also with versa mark and embossed with silver for the snowflake and blue for the word JOY.

o.k.,...I am actually going to post one more thing really quick. I have a friend that just LOVES Snoopy and she and her husband just bought a new home. Would have liked to buy her a nice housewarming gift but to say that we are monetarily challenged right now is an understatement! But, no matter, because I know she is just going to love this little set of "new address" cards that I have made for her. Used a snoopy stamp from Stampabilities(I think)...and the back of the pick up truck from SU's On the Move set.

Now I really must run!

Rain Rain Go Away

Hello! Well, I was going to put some new projects up today for you, but as I was sitting here updating my banner for winter...I hear the rain start to come down outside. So...since I do not have a good camera to take the pictures inside because of the lighting, and it is raining outside...that means no pictures for now! Sorry! But you will have to check back.

Some new things

Here are a couple of new things that I have been working on. This is another Christmas Countdown clipboard. I used red paint for the clipboard and red patterned paper. Must say that I do not like it as much as the other one I did. What do you think?

This next item is a wall hanging using coasters. I really like the stamp that SU has that says "Near & Far still follow his star", but I do not have that set, so I had to improvise by printing the saying out on my computer. The stamp in the middle is from SU (A Gift From Heaven).

I am really happy with the way these blocks turned out. I like them on my mantle, so I just may have to make another set to sell!

Thanks for looking. Hope you are having a good week so far.

Lots to share

Sorry I have not posted in a while, but I have been really busy working on several projects which I am about to share with you.

Lowes Home Improvement store sends out a magazine called Creative Ideas and in the latest issue they had an altered paint can. Just about that same time, Stephanie Ackerman from Homegrown Hospitality also featured an altered can. So, using them as my inspiration, this is what I came up with. A Christmas Ornament Countdown. I covered the can in paper and added some ribbon and a few little embellishments. The ornaments on the inside are all made from various Christmas dp.

The next item I made is an altered clipboard, which is also a countdown to Christmas. This was alot of fun to do and easy too. I think I will definately be doing more of these!

I found these cute little jars at our local craft store and just thought they would be a cute gift for someone you might not otherwise give a gift to (like the mailman, or the coffee shop person that serves you daily!) These jars were only 1.00!

Lastly, but not least because these are my favorites....I found these cute adorable little books on Nicole Heady's blog "Capture the Moment".
These books are so easy to do and you can make them for any occasion.

And with all that going on, I did manage to sneak a few minutes to visit with the newest addition to our family. Hayden, you are so super duper cute! I just love babies and it was so nice to be able to hold him for a while. Until he spit up all over himself and then it was time to give him back to his mom!

Well, I hope everyone is having a good week!

New Addition!

I just want to say "Welcome Hayden to our Family"! Can you believe we have a new addition to our family and I have not been able to go see him yet?? Hayden was born on November 1st, weighing 7lbs, 2oz, and is 19 inches long. His proud mommy is my niece Meghan. CONGRATULATIONS MEGHAN! You did it! And you have been given the greatest gift from God! And congratulations to my sister Lori on becoming a Grandma again!

I have been busy working on things this week for a friend of mine. Last minute, I found out she was going to be doing a craft show to sell some of her prints (she is an awesome photographer!). Well, she asked me if I had anything I wanted her to sell for me .... hmm, may have had a few things laying around! ;)
So, I was trying to make a couple different things for her to take, and here are a few of them:

For the chocolate lover that has everything...a set of coasters covered in chocolate sayings

This next set I really love. I used the Baroque background stamp from SU and they turned out so vintage looking...just love that!

Lastly, I made this cute little paper tote bag using some really cute paper that a sweetheart by the name of Stephanie Ackerman had sent to me. I also made 5 note cards to go inside the tote.

So there you have it. Those are the things I have been working on this week, in multiples.

Hayden...I am coming! Really I am! How's tomorrow looking for you? :)

Halloween and more fall cards

Here are a few cards that I did yesterday. Really like making the fall cards because I just love the colors.

The last card is for a new neighbor of ours.

Lastly...a very sad note. I have a niece that has been trying desperately to have a baby, but she just had her second miscarriage yesterday. Her name is Stacey, and I would really appreciate it if you would say a prayer for her.

Thanks so much!

Thanks for visiting! Happy Monday!

Two words to live by

Today, the pastor of our church talked about 2 words. These 2 words are referenced 65 times in the New Testiment. They really are words to live by. The 2 words are one another. I am going to list the references here and I just ask that you read them and really think about what you are reading.

Gal 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
Eph 4:25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE {of you} WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.
Eph 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:21 and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
Phl 2:3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind, regard one another as more important than yourselves;
Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with it's {evil} practices,
Col 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms {and} hymns {and } spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

1 Th 4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Th 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
1 Th 5:13 Live in peace with one another.
1 Th 5:15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.
2 Th 1:3 the love of each one of you toward one another grows {ever} greater;
Hbr 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is {still} called "Today" so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Jam 4:11 Do not speak against one another, brethren.
Jam 5:9 Do not complain, brethren, against one another.
Jam 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.
1 Pe 1:22 fervently love one another from the heart,
1 Pe 4:8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Pe 4:9 Be hospitable to one another without complaint.
1 Pe 4:10 As each one has received a {special} gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Pe 5:5 yourselves with humility toward one another,
1 Pe 5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.
1 Jo 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 Jo 3:11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another
1 Jo 3:23 and love one another, just as He commanded us.
1 Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
1 Jo 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 Jo 4:12 if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
2 Jo 1:5 not as though {I were} writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.

If you can do all of these things, that is awesome! If you can only start by doing just one...you will be a better person for it!

Quick Birthday Card

Had to do a quick card for a little girl in our church this morning. She has just celebrated her 5th birthday and I just wanted to do something little for her.
Made this quick trifold pocket. Used bold brights cardstock from SU. The stamps are from the Pretty Princess set also from SU. I used the cuttlebug for embossing the background and also for cutting out the number 5 for the top of the cake. One pocket holds the card that slides in and out and the other pocket holds the candy bar!

I think it is a nice way to celebrate with someone without having to spend alot of money.

Love Target's Dollar Spot!

I am planning on hosting a cookie exchange in December. I was shopping at Target the other day and ran across these cute little books in the dollar spot. I thought they would make a great gift to give to my guests for the cookie exchange. I plan on having everyone send me their recipe ahead of time so that I can print them out and put them in the books. I think they turned out really cute. The green one is my favorite although it does not look very good in the photo. The stamps I used were Baroque Motifs and The Snowflake Spot, both from SU. For the center, I used stamps from Stampendous. I wrote the words "Cookie Exchange" on the books in pencil, and then went over them with liquid applique. I did not heat the applique because I liked the look as is.

I also made another quick fall card. This was stamped with Autumn Fest from SU. The card is made with chocolate chip card stock, with an ivory backround. The background for the leaf is a piece of olive green wool felt. I used clear embossing on the main leaf image, added some faux stitching on the felt and also added a couple of small buttons.

Thanks for looking!

Things that make you go HMMM!

Hi there! I have a couple of things I want to share with you. First of all...the following picture is the tree in front of my house. Nothing out of the ordinary here, right? Afterall, it is October 16th.

But, when you look down the street and up the street at all of the other trees...this is what you see,..... nothing but green. HHMMMMM. Weird.

Here are some more card that I have been working on. The first one was inspired by a card I had seen a while ago on Splitcoast from Whimsy. The link to her card is http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=181363&cat=670
I fell in love with that card and have wanted to make one ever since. I did do mine a little differently though as I colored in my image. I used SU watercolor pencil's to color the image. The night sky was sponged on using Vintage Violet. I used Crystal Stickles for the star.

I have also been making more velvet ribbon pins. The velvet is in various fall colors. The stamped image is the "Joy" stamp from the Illuminations set stamped on shrinky dinks plastic and then baked in the oven to shrink. The leaves and flower are cut out of felt using the cuttlebug.
