Here is my card for todays challenge on Splitcoast. For the base of the card, I used real red from SU. The gingham check is from the open stock paper at Joanne's, and the stamped image is from The Angel Company. I was totally inspired to do this card when I was checking out the gallery and saw this card
. I just love her card. And I knew I wanted to make a card for some very good friends of ours that are moving to Arizona. UUGGHH, they are leaving today and I miss them already.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

1:09 am
yes, it is 1:09 a.m. and I am here at the computer posting a card that I have just finished making. I just could not help myself. I happened to stumble upon this wonderful blog Inky Paws
...well, there was a sketch challenge posted there to be used with any stamps from Rubbernecker Stamp Comp
. I had just received an order from them a few weeks ago, and I must say, I really loved the stamps. The images are adorable, and my favorite part was that they are rubber and they came perfectly trimmed and ready for use!
So when I saw the challenge at 11 p.m., I knew what I wanted to do, and then of course could not go to sleep because I could not stop thinking about it. Is that a sign of obsession? ;)
So, here is my card:
I did not have a sentiment to use for the bottom of the card, so I made one up and printed it on the computer. It says "Baby, you can fly to the moon, and catch a bright star, still nothing can compare to how wonderous you are."
And with that, I am off to bed.
Good night!

Multiple Challenge
Hi there! Hope you had a great holiday weekend. All I can say is that I am so thankful that today was a holiday, because today's challenge on Splitcoast was enough work in itself! For the technique lovers challenge today, you had to use 3 different challenges and combine it into one. You had to pick one of the first 10 of each catagory {the technique lovers challenge, the color challenge, and the sketch challenge}. So, here are my choices:
TLC#01 - Kissing Technique
CC#06 - Rose Red & Chocolate Chip
SC#09
and here is what I came up with:
I did not have any rose red ink, so I had to improvise a little. The DP in the background is from IOD and is from the "Paintables" collection. It is watercolor paper printed with flowers which you can color in. I love it. Wish you could see the card "irl" because it really did turn out very nice. I just need to keep dropping subtle hints to my DH that I really need a new camera.
Made some other things over the long weekend, but will have to post those pictures later.
Thanks for stopping by!

Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge
This is my first time doing one of Beate's weekend sketch challenges.
I used the rub-on's from SU's Sale-a-bration for my sentiment.
Hope you like it!

Thinking of You
This is for today's sketch challenge on SCS. The card is made using Kraft cs from SU. The small panels are certainly celery and they are embossed using the Fiskars texture plates. The main panel is a piece of fabric and I just stamped the sentiment using Black craft ink. The ribbon is also from SU.
Thanks for stopping by!

My husband got a job!
Sorry, really do not like to post to much personal stuff because I just do not know if people care to read it or not, but I just had to put this in print so it will help me to believe it. My husband got a job! He has been out of work since October of last year, and the market in Buffalo is so bad right now, so I am thanking God that something actually came through for him! We got the call this morning and I have not been able to contain my excitement ever since. Happy Happy Day!

Another Stephanie Doodle!
I love it when Stephanie from Homegrown Hospitality
shares her doodles. She put up a little challenge to see what people would do with this one, so here is mine:
I was going to go with all green because that is my favorite color, but just had to add a few more colors in. I put it in a clear see through glass with a black frame around it.
Hope you like it...I sure do, so thanks again for sharing Stephanie!

More Cards
Here are a few more cards that I have done recently.
Hope you like them.
This next one is for a friend of mine...
And here is a little thank you gift, the jar is filled with lifesavers...
And please say a prayer for the people in China, and Myanmar, and Chile, and...I could go on and on, but you get the idea....please pray.
Hope you like them.

Find Joy
This is for today's challenge on splitcoast. I really do love the sketch challenges.
And really, with everything that is going on around the world, I hope you do find joy in the little things!
