Buffalo weather + child with asthma = no fun!

I used to love the fall season. Now, I dread it as my youngest child has asthma and this is her toughest time of the year. It was a rough night and she is home from school today, sleeping for now. So, while she is resting...
Today's challenge on splitcoast was to use charms of any kind. I have had these little trees forever, in fact, I could make lots and lots of cards with all of the charms I have! And I am sure I am not alone! :)

I made the card very simple, just used my nestabilities to cut out the scalloped squares of felt...the dp is from Minds Eye, and the sentiment is from Homegrown Hospitality. Seriously, less than a 5 minute card. Love when that happens!

And there have been a couple of you asking, so here is the update on my MIL:

She had to have another surgery yesterday to have a new stint put into her liver as the first one dissolved. How does that happen? And why didn't they just put the metal one in the first time?!
Anyway, she will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days but my FIL says her color already looks better. So that is good news.
Now, due to this, her new scan has been pushed back yet again to 10/9!
Keep the prayers going!

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a great day!

Hello Sandra! I just found your blog and I love your work! This card is so cute and pretty! Great job!!

I live in Erie, PA - not far from you and I actually lived in Buffalo for less than 1 yr awhile back.

I know what you mean about the weather! Asthma and this weather is not a good mix. I'll say a prayer for your child.

God bless and have a wonderful day!

Just found your blog through SCS and I must say, this card is ADORABLE! I have fabric/felt galore, so I need to try this out!

So sorry to hear your daughter is experiencing asthma complications. Miserable. I will be praying for a quick recovery and for a clearing in the "bad stuff" in the air.

Love this card! I mentioned in an earlier comment I really want to try using the felt. Is all of yours wool felt? Where do you buy your felt? Can't find good colors around here.

Praying consistently for MIL. My prayers are before the throne right now.

It is great to see you with so many posts. I adore the card with the tree charm. I am sorry to hear about the reason you are getting more stamping time today. It's so hard when our kids are suffering. I just got the nicest thank you card from your MIL today. I hope all is going well after this latest surgery. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, Sandy.

What a fantastic Christmas card I would love to receive a card like that at christams...One thing I have noticed is that a few blogs I visit seem to do this sort edging to their mounts..its not something I have seen over here.. how on earth do you do them?

Thanks for stopping by my blog, its always makes me smile when you visit.
